CHINA
The people here could not be friendlier. After only a couple seconds of convincing they were full of smiles for a photo. It's nothing more than a small square, with a counter and two stools for those lucky enough to claim them. The fried dumplings (4 for $1.25) here have been rated the best by the New York Times, and they are definitely good. Thicker than most, there is also something sweet about them, a taste that almost hints of cinnamon somehow.
The most filling use of a dollar bill and a quarter in all of the city must be the fried small buns (4 for $1.25, below). These doughy, juicy wonders are stuffed into a small styrofoam square and waiting to be covered in vinegars and hot sauce.
