Sripraphai

The food is excellent, but ever since this very popular restaurant expanded a few years ago, you don't feel treated as special as the smaller Thai establishments in Queens (like THIS one), and that makes a difference. It has sort of become an atmosphere close to a soup kitchen, they serve your food and bring your check as soon as possible.

That being said, it's still delicious and a good bet when things are not too crowded. They do not dumb-down the spicy dishes for non-Thais or sweeten everything like any place in Manhattan. I also like to peruse their dessert case and grab something sweet for the ride home.
