SICHUAN CHINA 🇨🇳 Dispatch from East Village, Manhattan: After our group of four arrived a bit after 17:30 on a weekday, Szechuan Mountain House started to get very full, very fast. The new St. Marks location seems to be just as popular as the Flushing original, serving thoughtfully presented meals in upscale-ish digs. Don't worry though, it is all pretty unassuming, the beautiful design of the restaurant and dishes go a long way in showing they care. The food packs a lot of flavor and enough spice, focusing on the delicacy and complexity of Sichuan food rather than bombarding you with heat. ° Szechuan Mountain House, 23 St. Marks Place, East Village, Manhattan: Instagram exclusive post, added to full map on website. ° (1) Sliced pork belly with chili garlic sauce (2) Spicy mung bean jelly salad (3) Stir-fried chicken with dried red chili (4) Blood curd, tripe, and ham in spicy soup, Chongqing style (5) Okra salad (6) Stir-fried cabbage with pork in casserole. ° ° #EattheWorldNYC #eattheworld #worldfood #worldfoods #instayum #instafood #instaeat #foodlovers #foodlover #forkyeah #nyceats #nycfood #nycdining #newforkcity #eatingnyc #eatingnewyork #manhattan #manhattaneats #eastvillage #eastvillageeats #eastvillagefood #china #chinese #chinesecuisine #chinesefood #sichuan #sichuanfood #szechuan #szechuanfood
