The food is nothing to write home about, but is Irish pub fare ever? They make a good Shepherd's Pie ($7.50), and the service is always friendly on weeknights when they are not too busy. Full of a fraternity crowd playing beer pong on weekends. For years I have said that this place pours the best pint of Guinness ($5) in Manhattan, and the positive vibes always make this a great spot to have a beer. And throw in a laughably cheap basket of fries for $2.50.
